Happy New Years everyone, I hope you all had a fanastic evening! My year 2007 retrospective and hopes for 2008 after the jump.

2007 was a pretty weird year for me; it was my first year not in school, and my first year in the Internet and Affiliate Marketing game. The road was long and bumpy, and I may not have ended up where I wanted to be, but I’ve learned a lot of important lessons, and I’m definitely optimistic that 2008 will be the year of change.

This is because my whole year 2007 virtually led up to one moment, that happened about a month or so ago.

I started 2007 off with a bang by dropping out of school, which most people would be like “omg man wtf are you doing!”, but I definitely do not regret it. For you see, I had already obtained a Comp Sci degree at a technical college, and was in the process of doing pretty much the same degree in university. It was awful though in comparison, and a momentous waste of time in my opinion, so I decided to abandon university after one excruciatingly long semester, and dove right into the online world.

I began researching and reading up on every possible piece of information I could get my hands on about making money online, looking for the best ideas and strategies out there. I did this for months, trying little things here and there unsuccessfully.

But I didn’t realize that all of these little nuggets of information that I was absorbing were all pieces of the puzzle that was online success. I would try an idea, and once I saw that it didn’t lead to an income stream, I would scratch it off the list and try something new.

In fact, I didn’t even try most of the things because I was skeptical or too lazy. Anyways, fast forward to a couple of months ago, and I read Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. This eBook switched on the light for me.

It showed me that success on the internet didn’t come from one method, but a real plethora of different techniques and strategies! But more importantly, from ACTION.

Yes, this is the action lesson again, but the faster you learn it, and the more you hear it, the better!

So I started DOING things, instead of learning things, and already I’ve seen more results in the past 2 months than I had all year!

This is what gives me confidence in saying that 2008 is going to be the year of change; the year where all the little puzzle pieces come together to form the big picture. I’ve been waiting for change for a long time, and now I’m finally ready to make it happen.

And I’ve got to tell you, I’m excited!!

Here’s to 2008 being the best year ever, for all of us! Cheers!
