As an affiliate marketer, your MAIN goal is to get potential customers to the merchant's sales page, where you earn your commissions. If you've chosen the right affiliate program, their sales pages have already been optimized to have the best conversion rates possible, so really you want to get as many people there as possible.
Of course getting people to click on your links can be tricky. Chances are they are not simply going to click on your links AND buy your affiliates' products simply because you tell them! You need to warm them up to the idea ...

Proper Blog HTML Header Tags

When I was writing my last post, I figured it would be cool to start using sub headings to make it easier for people to read my longer blog posts. That's when I remembered about how HTML header tags were actually a pretty big factor in terms of SEO. So, I opened up my page source to see what kinds of tags I was using, and I wasn't too impressed.
Basically, I had 'h1' for my page title on individual pages (perfect), and 'h2' for my block headings (a bit strange...), and that was it!

I was exploring the blogosphere today when I stumbled upon an interesting post by Alan over at Affiliate Confession. The concept is to supercharge your blogging by posting on your blog and commenting on other's blogs everyday for 30 days. He shows off great results, and has inspired me to attempt this challenge.
Entrecard Review Part 1, The Setup

Today I decided to do some research on how to get blog traffic with a variety of widgets. One of the most popular blog traffic widget at the moment is Entrecard.
So far it has been an interesting addition. You build credits by "dropping" your card onto other people's widgets, and having them do the same to you. You in turn then spend these credits on ad space for other blogs, and other blogs do the same to you.
In a sense however, it seems like a momentous waste of time going around earning credits; in fact I inadvertently ...
