Eco-Hacks

Bloggin-Ads Contest Winner Blog Review

Eco-Hacks is all about going “green” and living an environmentally responsible lifestyle. Eva, the author, is doing a great service by running this blog in my opinion. I am very aware of reducing our global footprint, and the more we can get the word out, the better.

The blog itself has a very nice, simple design. It’s a centered two column theme, with a very cool header image. I love the motto, “if it’s this easy to go green, I’m in”. There’s nothing fancy about this blog, and really that’s fine. I think it’s supposed to be simple, and really keep the focus on the important message.

This blog is only a month or so old, yet the articles are very well written. Each one presents an important thought about green living and how we impact the world. The readability is very good, I like the font and spacing, as well as the paragraphs and headers.

There is very little monetization on this blog, just a couple of Google Ads, which from what I can see are all for good causes. This blog also accepts donations to the Replenish the Planet fund. You can donate 5$ or 500 Entrecard Credits, and Eva will list you on her “Ecohero” blogroll! I think this is an awesome cause, and I’ll definitely be sending my 500ec as soon as I finish this review.

In the future, it would be nice to see an About Page, and perhaps pages about favored charities, so that people can learn even more about the author and her causes.

It’s clear that Eva is writing this blog with the genuine intentions of helping the environment, and I think she should be commended for these efforts. I wish I could write more about this blog, but it’s still in it’s infancy, so there’s not much else to say.

I really hope that this blog continues to grow; with such high quality articles, and donations all for a good cause, Eva is truly making a difference in this world. Keep up the great work!
