Here’s an interesting opportunity I stumbled upon surfing the net today. As you obviously know, I’m a big fan of affiliate marketing, but that definitely doesn’t mean that is the only great marketing strategy out there. Before concentrating mostly on affiliate marketing, I was quite interested in membership sites. The concept of recurring payments should be music to any marketer’s ears!

I researched all about these for a long time, but that was during my notorious “no-action” phase, so I never got around to creating my own. A membership site is still high up on my potential huge money makers list, but as most people must feel, it’s a pretty intimidating project to start. You’d have to develop a huge bank of information that can be accessed to members, frequent updates, have customer support and more.

So when I saw Jimmy D. Brown’s Membernaire program, I was instantly intrigued. He trashes the “traditional” membership idea, and replaces it with a very easy and quick start “fixed-term membership” plan.

The concept, which can be seen in full on his website, basically uses an autoresponder system (like Aweber) that sends out the content over time. So regardless of when a member joins, they will start at the “beginning” of your content and benefits, and “end” a fixed amount of time later, depending on the amount of content you provide.

The best part about this strategy is that you could literally open your very own membership site in 24 hours, and you don’t need to have a huge bank of members only content planned out. All you have to do is provide the daily or weekly content, whichever you choose, for as long as you want. You can even complete a package program of sorts, for example, Membernaire is actually a perfect example of the fixed-term membership, as it ends after 1 year, or 12 months worth of content and payments.

Now I haven’t decided to joined the program myself (only because I have too many projects already :P), but his website already provides me with a whole slew of new ideas I am absolutely going to check out, and try to incorporate into my affiliate marketing strategies. This is another fantastic no-bullshit sales page that gives you awesome information right off the bat.

If you want a step by step approach to building a profitable membership site, one that really encourages you to complete tasks and assignments to improve every week, and gives you the helpful nudge (more like shove!) in the right direction, then you owe it to yourself to at least check out Membernaire. It’s an amazing deal in my opinion.

The buzz has been extremely good over the IM community, and spaces are very limited and are disappearing fast, so I would definitely check this out sooner than later. Also, if you do decide to join, let me know about your experiences!
