Here is a very cool little tool I found today. BacklinkSpot is a site that uses Google custom search engine to find blogs that allow dofollow links in comments. This lets you get backlinks from blogs in your own niche, and raise your rankings in the eyes of search engines.
Right off the bat though, I have to say that if you are going to use this tool for the sole purpose of building backlinks, then you definitely won't get the most out of the system, and probably end up looking ...

Cheap Link Building With ScratchBack… Or Is It?

If you've been surfing blogs lately, you've probably seen quite a few with a new widget called ScratchBack. It's like a glorified tip jar that allows you to tip a blog for a backlink. Personally, I think it's huge, ugly, and definitely not worth the money it can earn you. Just running a private ad links area of your own, or a traditional donation page is a 10x better option.

Proper Blog HTML Header Tags

When I was writing my last post, I figured it would be cool to start using sub headings to make it easier for people to read my longer blog posts. That's when I remembered about how HTML header tags were actually a pretty big factor in terms of SEO. So, I opened up my page source to see what kinds of tags I was using, and I wasn't too impressed.
Basically, I had 'h1' for my page title on individual pages (perfect), and 'h2' for my block headings (a bit strange...), and that was it!
