HostGator Review - Hosted at HostGatorThis blog along with a lot of my other websites are hosted with HostGator and I’ve got to say, out of all the hosting services I’ve tried (which I will review sometime in the future), HostGator is by far the best.

First, let’s get the tech stuff out of the way; here’s what comes with their most popular “baby” plan, at a very affordable $7.95 a month:

  • 600 Gigs of Web Hosting Space
  • 6,000 Gigabytes of Bandwidth
  • Host UNLIMITED Websites
  • FREE Instant Setup
  • 99.9% Uptime Guarantee
  • 45 Day Money Back Guarantee
  • CGI, PHP 4 & 5, RoR, Perl
  • MySQL, SSH, SSL, IMAP, POP
  • FREE Site Builder
  • cPanel Hosting ( View Demo )
  • 24/7/365 Upgraded Support

These are all really great, but to me the absolute best feature is the unlimited add on domains. I have a lot of websites and projects, and the ability to have all my different domains being hosted under one plan saves me a bunch of time and money (especially money).

If you have any tech knowledge, you’d probably agree that the other features are well above average among web hosts. If you don’t know much about hosting, then I guess you’ll have to take my word for it ;)

In terms of managing your web space, the cPanel system is great. Very easy to use, and comes with lots of features. Also, they have Fantastico Deluxe, which will allow you to automatically install a bunch of stuff, including CMS’s like Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla, among many others.

You can see the full list of features by going to HostGator and clicking on the Web Hosting tab.

As a great bonus, you can get your first month a penny OR 20% off (which saves you a lot on a yearly plan or more).

You can get all the coupon codes HERE.

If you don’t have hosting, or are unhappy with your current hosting company *cough*godaddy*cough* then you absolutely must check out HostGator.

There’s really not much else I can say, it’s just super high quality web hosting at a really great price. It rocks, pure and simple.

[Update!] I recently had a tech support problem, and they were awesome. I first contacted them through the chat system, and the representative was very friendly and helpful. The email support was also top notch.

The Yimto Verdict: In the GREEN!
