Thank you for this real review, without an affiliate link at the bottom.

I just joined this program today, and was very disappointed when I saw the extreme terms for the license. Not only is $67 a month a lot of money not knowing how well the digital products might sell, but then there is the risk that if they don't sell, I would be out money paid, and could not keep selling what I'd paid for without their $197 fee.

I was trying to find out how well the products sold, and now I have an idea. I will be canceling shortly, as this hardly seems worth the time and effort to set up sales pages. Thanks again for your honest review. You've saved me time--and money!

Great article on Niche Revolution but you forgot one other problem. I have been trying to get them to fix the recurring monthly rate for commissions from the $2.97 intro price. I have had Brad say he will fix it, but after three months they haven't paid me the money they owe me. So much for the big recurring income from promoting their product.

It's gone down to $47.95 and the $167 fee to retain the selling rights is now $197!

Thanks so much for the review. I'm putting in my refund request right now!

Check this out (I'm not an affiliate for it);

Sells normally for $37 but in the forum you can get it for $17!

FINALLY an honest review and one that isn't by somebody posting an affiliate link at the bottom.

I actually liked the site, but they had about 4 pages of terms/conditions of use, which severely limited what you could do with the products. This site offers more "limited resell rights" than PLR.

If they ever changed it up to be less restrictive, I'd rejoin in a heartbeat.

I have been member of niche revolution for about 2 weeks and i am now having my doubts about it.

I have read various reviews on the net about it and many are saying the same thing. You have to put a lot of work into it to and get little out of it. I cannot believe that someone can spend so much promoting a product, get 1,500 potential clients but only make 3 sales.

I have to agree that you do have to put a load of work into this scheme to get little out and if you don’t have lists you are buggered. Two days ago I uploaded one of their niche templates and so far I have had 150 page impressions (ie page views) in two days which is great but not one click so no adsense revenue. What does that tell me? Well that the content is so crap and so uninteresting that people just move on. Its on “camping” – hardly exciting. I have to agree the content is dire – its just a list of boring articles and the templates are pretty poor in design.

I have emailed the niche revolution support asking them how they can give these templates to upload when they all have the same content. They previously advised me these templates don’t need altering and should just be uploaded as they are. Surely that’s a search engine duplication issue that could get your content banned? I thought all articles had to be unique for ideal search engine placement etc? I have actually totally rewritten the content for one of the sites. It took me two whole days of constant research and editing and I totally redesigned the site by putting the content into a fresh high quality adapted template. Im going to see what happens when I upload that.

I don’t want to find myself spending out loads of money for little or no result. I agree that you find yourself having to spend more money to make the thing work with little potential result even if you slug your guts out and do everything they say. I am finding myself spending days on the whole thing and Im thinking its not really going to get me anywhere.

On a positive they provide good support and I don’t doubt Matt Callen’s sincerity and honesty. I just think its very hyped up and unless you have lists and have time to develop the whole thing its not really going to work for you. I guess its just not for me and I will look at other methods to promote and use adsense - more likely produce my own articles, content and sites on subjects I know about to make them interesting and informative and hopefully get some success. Also look at other programmes banded about on the net as there must be some good ones out here?

This is excellent information because you actually used the product!

You might enjoy a site where others do this too and you get to learn about a product/membership site, etc. BEFORE you buy.

It's called ratingshub and regular folks review these items all in the spirit of helping each other out.

There are no ads (last time i checked!) allowed by reviewing members and you get some pretty raw reviews.

I really like it.

Here is part of the 'Welcome' letter I recieved a little over a year ago...

[Edited: Too Promote-y :P]

Better Luck Next Time!

Thanks for the suggestion, looks interesting. Although when I tried searching a product, I was redirected to some Russian video site lmao.

p.s. I'm definitely doing these reviews to help others as well :) Hopefully you guys find them useful!

I agree with much of what you wrote. I was a charter member and stayed for a few months until I realized that they started charging less for memberships than what charter members paid for.

I wrote about my experience (http://www.marketing-tools-review.com/blog/2007/01/nicherevolution-how-to-treat-your-customers-like-crap/) and inducted them into my Hall of Shame.

[...] One ebook review fell into the lowest category — in the red. Before too long, I imagine more ebooks will find their way to that bottom category. (Maybe that’s my cynical outlook on marketing ebooks though.) I can rest assured that Yimto’s take on a specific affiliate marketing method will be honest, and not an attempt to drain my wallet for a quick buck. [...]
