All this talk of maple syrup is making me hungry for a big stack of waffles.

I've been looking for additional sources of income. I currently use Adsense and have been seeing a drop in revenue. Do you have any recommendations for a blog?

I'd say give affiliate marketing a try, naturally ;)

Also, private ad sales are huge in the blogging world, and is how many bloggers make most of their money.

You can also try sponsored posts and such too.

These are just a few of the more popular methods, you'll have to experiment to see what works best for you.

Yes - I agree - good comparison.

I also see it as planting many seeds. Some make it - some don't.

I'm originally from 'maple syrup' country too (northern Ohio) and I remember that it takes 40 gallons of sap to produce one gallon of Maple Syrup.

If you have ever wondered at the prices, it has to be boiled into that one gallon from 40. It is probably worth the money.

I think you could carry your analogy a little further too. I know that I get a fair amount of traffic on my blog.

I also know that many of my links, which are meant to 'pay,' are getting clicks.

How many sign up for a Seminar though?

So far, only 4 and only one was producing any 'syrup' (not even sure about that since i haven't SEEN the check yet).

OK, so after a year of blogging and providing this service, you'd think there would be a little something.

Well there is.

It's all a matter of getting it out of the 'minimum' payouts range and into a check in the mail.

So, what does it take to get syrup now?

Good thing I like problem-solving... :)
