[Update:] Jonny has graciously offered a substantial discount for my readers, read on for more details or click here!
The Guru Assassin is a new membership program developed by Jonny Andrews, a very successful online entrepreneur. I’m sure you could call Jonny a “guru” himself, but the guru assassin ecourse isn’t about beating gurus, it’s about joining them. Basically, the ecourse focuses on dissecting the entire process of developing a successful business online from start to finish.
It takes a bit of a unique twist here because all of the lessons are delivered in video format. Now honestly, I have never really been a fan of video, since I prefer reading to listening, but Jonny does a good job here. He has a very personable and likable attitude, as well as an optimistic delivery. Even though it may be a little harder to absorb the material, he will pass his positive mind frame onto you. (Just watch his intro video to see what I mean)
He does include some downloadable materials with many of his videos, like a pdf file he uses in the video for example, and that’s good. Loading a video many times just to re-find information would be pretty annoying in my opinion, and this helps some. I think he may be wise to provide transcripts of his videos as well in the future, to make it easier to find information with say a ctrl+f search. Either that, or very detailed outlines of the videos, so that you can jump to specific parts easily.
Right now, this program is still in it’s earlier stages, but it’s growing quite quickly. I’ve had access to the membership area for a couple of weeks now, and the number of videos has almost doubled in this time. Some of the topics include money management, tools of the trade, finding niches, time lines, market research, sales pages, buyer psychology, SEO, and location targeting.
Jonny makes himself extremely available, in fact, this is one of his selling points. He wants to provide members with exactly what they want, and frequently reminds us that members can email him anytime, and he will make videos about topics suggested.
You might think since this membership program is still in the early stages, it might be worth waiting for more content to appear, but really, you may have a great opportunity here. As one of the newer members, Jonny will be much more accessible to you, and your questions will surely be answered. He is also arranging a lot of different content as well, such as conference calls and discussion forums.
Of course, at the same time, as the program is in the early stages, there isn’t the most content, and for the price of $97 per month, it may be a bit steep for some people. It’s definitely growing fast though, and as each video is 15 to 90 minutes long, I think it’s worth the cost.

Hey I have been seeing you on Entrecard very very often, and stumbled upon your blog today. I would certainly give it a try for 7 days free trial first only because you suggested - one of the reliable source
The only thing which i want to say here is -Go Johny Go. Rock it.
I think thats a reasonable review and I am tempted to take the trial offer.
It’s a good idea, in principle, but having tried it for a few months I’d say don’t waste your money. Actually it’s that he lost interest in it and went off to do Money Siphon System (MSS) which is just $77 but you can get it from affiliates for 30% credit back to your paypal account. All the resources he didn’t put into The Guru Assassin he’s put into MSS and it’s a once off $77 and now there’s an Elite MSS being offered for %8.95 a month until 1 August 2008, when the price will go up. But he’s got people still subscribed to TGA paying $67 & $97 a month waiting for some thing when he’s put the some thing into the new MSS. An example is that he got some one to do a series of cPanel Videos and one of the videos is duplicated to the next slot in a series so there’s one missing in the series and he’s not fixed that error in the two months that it’s been up. Oh, yes I’ve communicated to him about that 3 times and he says he’ll fix it but doesn’t. It was good at first for the first month then it died.
Thanks for the update Ers. It’s a shame to hear when membership programs stagnate.
I just logged on to check it out for the first time in a month or so, and it definitely doesn’t look like it’s gotten that much more material for that time; compared to the pretty nice pace he was setting at the beginning of the program.
It’s too bad. I’ll probably update this review to reflect these new changes sometime soon.
I found the same with Guru Assassin and wrote him about it and got a membership to MSS Elite for $7.95 a month. He told me that TGA is dead, so if you are in it pull out. I agree with all the neg comments as was my experience also. There’s a lot of good content in MSS and he gives away heaps of PLR and pre-made sites too. Worth the $7.95 a month, but that was his MSS prelaunch offer to TGA Members. He would have sent out the offer to all TGA Members so go back through your e-mails; guruassassin@gmail.com, and find the $7.95 offer and mail him saying you missed and he’ll give it to you at the $7.95 prelaunch price.
