I’ve been seeing TNX reviews pop up on so many blogs lately, that I figured I would take a look at this service and see what it was all about. Now, before I start I have to say that I won’t be issuing a verdict for this review, because I don’t personally believe in buying links at the moment, due to the recent negative Google slap theories. However, I don’t know for sure if link buying and selling is good or bad, so it’s up to you to decide this on your own. I will probably be blogging about this subject in the coming weeks.
TNX, pronounced “thanks”, claims to have a dynamic system capable of remaining undetectable by Google. Started in April of 2007, they have grown in popularity quite quickly since then and now are ranked around 9000 in alexa.
They use a system with points, which you can buy and sell in a scene which almost resembles the stock market. I find this system a bit odd, since I’d rather just pay $x.xx per link instead of xxxx points. But, nevertheless, it seems to work, as now they can adjust their market easily without constantly changing the actual link prices. For example, a PR0 link always costs 1 point, whereas a PR5 link would cost 1000 points.
The members page is quite nice, and pretty easy to navigate. Buying ads on other sites looks quite easy, although I did not do it because again, I’m not sure of the ramifications of purchasing links yet. You choose sites based on category and PR, but you cannot see the site your link is placed on until AFTER the purchase (you can refund if it’s a junk site). This is a good move on their part, because it will be harder to detect the sites that sell links.
Becoming a publisher looks actually fairly difficult though, as there is a LOT of code to insert. Again though, this is probably a good thing making it harder to detect. I’m sure it’s not too bad though after figuring it out the first time.
I have used Text-Link-Ads before (on a really old site, brings me a few bucks a month), and I can say that TNX seems cheaper, but a much better network overall. Even though you may not get as much money for selling your links with TNX, I would be much more confident that your search engine rankings would be safe.
If you want to try this system out, and I hope you read up about all things link buying/selling first, then you can get 2000 free TNX points just by sending a private message to Bonus-points on the Digital Points forum with your TNX member ID code. You can see the offer here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=477444
I did this and they sent me points in less than 24 hours.
So, overall TNX looks like a pretty good system, and I may issue a verdict once I learn more about link buying/selling. Until then though, if you believe that this is not an issue, then I would recommend you check this system out.

I think you did a better review of the site than I did. I am not really sure if buying links is proper or not either but I am also sick of google telling me what is right and wrong.
haha yeah I suppose your right, I feel the worst part though is that these rules aren’t written in stone either. Nobody knows exactly what Google does, so it’s a lot of guesswork. It can be pretty easy to be slapped ><
Damn, this tool detects all of my TNX links: http://www.wmtips.com/tools/paid-links-detector/
Wow interesting, if that can detect TNX paid links, then I’m sure Google can… add that to the long list of uncertainty ><
Thanks for this great post.
I have been using TNX to sell links via TNX from my website since January 2008 and already earned more than I would earn in 5 months by selling links through any other networks.
TNX is definitely the best link network out there!
Will be also buying links later this month. Pretty sure TNX will do great.
I have already told all my friends about this great system.
Bravo, TNX!
Promoting their affiliate program is quite a profitable idea as well. Concerning the link building, as long as one uses this program to get limited number of links is good. Otherwise he risks a google penalty or something like that.
I would recommend them but I would also advise that you don’t go overboard. If you link out to sites on every page of your blog, you will be giving out valuable PR juice and if you buy too many links you will get sand-boxed. Everything in moderation and TNX is great.
I found this info very useful for me and I do agree with you that TNX is a pretty good system and delivering many benefits that’s why it is better than other networks.
