I have some idea regarding PLR I am not against it but if the user will do hardwork and just make that PLR a good rewrite I think it is still worth to use it.

I know more about PLR that is true if you can rewrite it well and make it more polish that could be a great article.

I have struggled with the idea of Private Label Articles. I wouldn’t want to build a site out of them or use them to seed a blog for the same reason you give. Plus I can write without much issue. It would almost take me as much time to rewrite someone else’s article as to write my own. But as far as submitting to article directories goes, I would rather keep mine on my blog and wouldn’t want them watered down by being published everywhere. But it makes sense to use PLR articles for that. Great post. I have been looking for an answer to this.

I’m not a fan of publishing PLR articles either, but it is a great idea to write them

I really have no clue what sort of useful site would paste them exactly the same, but many do exactly that.

Hi Michael, I definitely agree with you there. PLR is more often than not junk, so it is worth it to rework it, and make it your own.

I find PLR articles useful when I get writers block and need inspiration to write for my blog.

Bought 8,000 PLR articles for $7 the other day. Was just curious to see what kind of junk that package contained.

As Stephan said, rewriting these would take just too much time, and hiring someone doing that… then I’d rather hire someone writing original material up front.

Using them for an autoresponder series or for a free giveaway may be an option.

Hmm, using them as a source for ideas sounds like an idea. (Well, this may have been my actual intention in the first place anyway.

Haha yeah I’ve bought a couple of packs like that. Definitely can help with ideas.

Also, I hear that rewrite costs are about half the cost of an original article. I think I would still probably prefer an original too though, because who knows how many other people have “rewritten” the same PLR articles lol

As for PLR-Articles, ask ypirself cui bono?
Or who has a benefit from rehashed information?

Do you / they add real value for your readers / clients / customers?

Creating more (junk) information overload just for the ranking?

Article marketing will have to focus more on quality and unique content in the future to still deserve the name.
